OSSC 2011

IEEE International Workshop on Open-Source Software for Scientific Computation October 12-14, 2011, Beijing - China Co-sponsored by the Scilab Consortium, the aim of OSSC-2011 is to provide an international forum to exchange on the use of open-source software for scientific computation within the education, academics and industrial communities. Contribution papers are expected until July 24, 2011.

A new website for Scilab Users to exchange their files and share their expertise File Exchange is a new website for Scilab community of users, dedicated to exchange files, script, data, experiences, etc. Any user is now provided with a simple channel to share his own contribution on Scilab, upload his work and interact easily with others. Technical Days for STI2D French Educational Program

16 - 17 February 2011 Lycée Julie Daubié at Rombas Organized by the "Académie de Nancy-Metz", the French education authority for the area of Nancy-Metz, those days are intended to present to those directly involved in the implementation of the new STI2D bachelor's degree (Industry and Sustainable Development Science and Technology), proposals for equipment. The Scilab Consortium, invited by the Académie, will present Scilab software and its possibilities of use in the classroom.

Version 1.3 of module lycée is available with Scilab 5.3.0. This version includes new features and improvements requested by teachers who use Scilab in classrooms.
