ESA Summer of Code in Space

Scilab has been selected as mentoring organization for the ESA Summer of Code in Space 2013

ESA Summer of Code in Space 2013 (SOCIS 2013) is a program run by the European Space Agency. It aims at offering student developers stipends to write code for various space-related open source software projects. Through SOCIS, accepted student applicants are paired with a mentor or mentors from the participating projects, thus gaining exposure to real-world software development scenarios.

SOCIS is inspired by Google Summer of Code initiative in which Scilab had been involved from 2009 to 2012.

If you are a student interested in participating to SOCIS to develop Scilab, do not hesitate to gsoc [at] lists.scilab.org (contact us)target="_self" and submit your application on SOCIS website.

Ideas of development of Scilab are available on Scilab Wiki.

Students have until the 4th of August to apply.

The interested students must live in one of the ESA member states.
