Lecture given during academic mathematics meetings for secondary schools, 11 April 2011 Organized by the académie of Versailles (French educational authority for Versailles area), those academic mathematics meetings offer students two days of intensive training, with sessions of exercises and lectures. Google Summer of Code 2011

The Scilab Consortium has been chosen by Google for the 3rd consecutive year as mentoring organization It is the seventh edition of the Google Summer of Code (GSOC), program which introduces students around the world to open source software development in offering them stipends to write code for various projects. Since 2005, the program has gathered more than 4500 students from 85 different countries and Google has announced they were expecting a 25% increase of accepted student applications this year.
