The Scilab Consortium has been chosen by Google for the 3rd consecutive year as mentoring organization

It is the seventh edition of the Google Summer of Code (GSOC), program which introduces students around the world to open source software development in offering them stipends to write code for various projects.

Since 2005, the program has gathered more than 4500 students from 85 different countries and Google has announced they were expecting a 25% increase of accepted student applications this year.

Students applications are opened from March, 28 until April, 8.
