Excuse me,could I ask a question? Ｉhave installed the scilab,but there is a problem in it. The `help` item (scilab help F1)cannot be used normally.The mistake arises like this: help(); !--error 999 Couldn\'t Open this document at line 23 of function run_help called by : line 20 of function browsehelp called by : line 15 of function help called by : help(); My computer is working under windows vista. The maker is DELL. I hope that you could tell me how to repair it.

I ve been using scilab for solving problems in Power systems. I ve found it to be highly flexible, fast and very reliable. I ve found it to be fater than MATLB and Octave and gives the same results as MATLAB even for solution of differential equations invloving stiff and large electrical systems

Hope in Scilabe 5.0 we could still generate GUI by uicontrol in a window other than the graphics window.
