Scilab-5.0-alpha-2

Please note that Scilab 5.0 alpha version still contains some well known bugs, missing features and may have some slow behaviours. It is a testing only version, it should only be used to test what will be Scilab 5 family and not at all in production environment.

Scilab-5.0-alpha-2 ships scicos which is a customized version of scicos-4.2 to respect scilab 5 new architecture.

The period between the alpha and beta/stable versions will mainly be used to debug and optimize Scilab.

Other alpha versions will certainly be available between now and the beta version.

Reporting Bugs

It should come as no surprise that this alpha release of scilab-5.0 contains other bugs. Your comments, bug reports, patches and suggestions will help fix bugs and improve future releases. Please report bugs through the Scilab bug tracker.

When you get a crash, please attach the hs_err####.pid file and the output of the scilab function "getdebuginfo()". Maybe the crash log can help us out a bit.
